Kit Overview
The Captain is the commander demo players know best. The Mothership rewards tactical scoring: every turn start grants +1 Budge, and scoring a pair funnels +10 XP into that specific artifact column, which is how a Captain run snowballs ahead of the curve.
| Item | Rarity | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Bunker | Rare artifact | Grants +0.2 multiplier at the start of every turn for every Budge you have stockpiled. |
| Torpedo | Legendary artifact | Allows you to Budge between 6 and 1; each time you get a Budge, score 2 random units. |
| Wings of Fury | Legendary artifact | Rewards scoring pairs in its column with a +6 multiplier; you can also spend a Budge to level the artifact up instantly. |
| Rocketship | Uncommon artifact | Grants +15 STR to a random unit every time you Budge. |
| Monocle | Perk | Base dice sitting alone count as pairs — a game-changer for board management. |
| Sky Arbiter | Perk | All your starting effects trigger twice, doubling your opening strategy. |
How the Captain Plays
The Captain converts movement into scaling. Budges are usually spent to place dice where they score best; the Captain instead wants you to hold them. Bunker pays interest on every stockpiled Budge each turn, Torpedo converts each incoming Budge into two scored units, and Rocketship feeds your board STR for the same action. The Mothership keeps the engine fueled with a steady +1 Budge per turn.
Strategy Notes
- Bank early Budges: Bunker's multiplier grows with your stockpile, so hoarding for two or three turns compounds.
- Aim pairs at the Wings of Fury column — its +6 multiplier plus the Mothership XP makes it the fastest artifact to snowball.
- Monocle turns stray base dice into pairs, which means fewer wasted columns and more Mothership XP triggers.
- Sky Arbiter doubles your opening effects; plan your first turns around whatever gets doubled.
