The Duchess's kit scales board space and unit quality. The Art Of War starter perk allows building up to the fourth row with access to her chess units, and every non-Token spawn arrives shielded, granting +10 XP to its column artifact.

How the Kit Compounds
Spawning is income: Fortress builds tiles and buffs units per non-Token spawn, Stone Chisel turns level-ups into extra Pawns that buff the whole board, and the starter perk shields every spawn. Blitz Armor cashes shields in for Budge and Multi, En Passant cashes destruction in for Chrono and Mini Dice, and Usurper makes sure your own captures and sacrifices hit 50% harder.
